Guillaume Tronchet is professeur agrégé d’histoire and research associate at the Institut d’histoire moderne et contemporaine (PSL-ENS, University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, CNRS). Former education adviser to the president of PSL Research University and deputy director of the PSL Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies, he is now special adviser to the director of the Ecole normale supérieure, Paris. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and specializes in international history of higher education. He was a visiting scholar at Columbia University. He has coedited a book on the history of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris with Dzovinar Kévonian : La Babel étudiante. La Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (Presses universitaires de Rennes, 2013). He is preparing a single-authored monograph on the internationalization of French Higher Education in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He is editorial board member of the Journal of International Mobility.
